Figurs, waived by the Detroit Lions on Sept. 10, gives the Bucs depth behind starting wide receivers Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton and backups Sammie Stroughter, Maurice Stovall and Brian Clark. However, Figurs is mostly known as a special-teamer. As a rookie, Figurs became the first Baltimore Ravens player to return a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the same season.

Figurs played at Kansas State in 2006, when current Bucs coach Raheem Morris was the Wildcats' defensive coordinator, and entered the NFL as a third-round draft pick of the Ravens in 2007. He has three receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown in 29 career games.

McCoy, a five-year NFL veteran, played in four games with one start for Tampa Bay this season and made one tackle.

The Bucs also added offensive lineman Marc Dile to their practice squad Tuesday. Wide receiver Pat Carter and defensive tackle Rashaad Duncan were released from the practice squad.
