Favre breaks NFL record by playing in 283rd consecutive game

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre set an NFL record by playing in his 283rd consecutive game Sunday night.

With his first snap against Arizona, the 40-year-old Favre broke the record of 282 held by longtime Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall.

Favre has not missed a game since the 1992 season.
