The first-round pick slipped during one of his first drills at Cowboys rookie camp, causing a brief moment of trepidation. Elliott was fine, and went through his first practice without any other issues.
Elliott was crisp throughout the rest of the 90-minute workout, showing off his speed, quickness and receiving ability.
"The draft process is crazy with the combine and then the draft part (with) all the traveling and not really having a home," Elliott said. "So it's a relief to finally be able to have a stable environment and do what you love and that's play ball."
Consider Elliott the heavy early favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Running back is probably the easiest position to transition to from the college to pro game and Elliott will be running behind the most talented offensive line in football.
