Ex-Cardinals CB McDonald lands with Lions in waiver move

The Detroit Lions claimed cornerback Brandon McDonald off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, according to a league source.

McDonald, a fourth-year pro from Memphis, was released this week after playing in two games for the Cardinals this season.

McDondald previously spent three years with the Cleveland Browns, for whom he started 25 games in 2008 and '09. He had five interceptions in 2008.
