Eagles' Reid 'disappointed' in portrayal of Jackson during game

Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has no problem with the way wide receiver DeSean Jackson competed in Thursday night's 31-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He does, however, have an issue with how Jackson was portrayed during the game's broadcast on NFL Network.

Jackson was reported to be noncommunicative with his teammates during the game and was shown on camera sitting alone on the bench. When reporters approached Jackson following the game, he quickly grew tired with the line of questioning he said "don't even mean nothing."

Reid rushed to Jackson's defense Friday.

"I'm disappointed in NFL Network in the way they portrayed that," Reid said. "DeSean was all-in in that game. He had a great attitude during that game, and you can take a camera and you can make things look any way you want to look.

"The kid was all-in last night and I was proud of him for that."

Jackson finished with four receptions for 34 yards. He was taken out of last week's game against the New England Patriots after dropping some passes, and he was benched a few weeks earlier for missing a meeting.

Reid, however, dismissed the idea that Jackson's sideline demeanor had any greater meaning.

"Absolutely nothing there," Reid said. "I'm not sure they know who's talking to who, what the conversation is about. I don't know how you're able to go into that. This is all petty stuff, but I'm telling you the kid was all-in and he had a great attitude and that's what I can tell you. There was nothing on the sideline. There was nothing there -- nothing."
