Eagles' Maclin improved after hamstring injury, expects to play

Michael Vickgets the headlines, but he might not be the only key member of the Philadelphia Eagles offense who will play against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday despite a recent injury.

Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin returned to practice Thursday, according to the Philadelphia Sports Daily, and expressed confidence he would play after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 3.

"I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize or hurt the team," Maclin said, per the Daily. "If it feels good like it does now and I feel like I can go, I can go."

Officially, the Eagles listed Maclin as taking part in a limited portion of practice.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said Monday that an MRI exam revealed Maclin, who did not practice Wednesday, suffered less damage than the team originally believed.

It turns out the Eagles might have dodged two injury bullets instead of just one.
