Eagles' Celek has successful surgeries on sports hernia, hip

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek underwent successful surgeries Tuesday for a sports hernia and a torn labrum in his left hip, the team announced.

According to the team, both surgeries were performed concurrently. No timetable was given for his recovery.

Celek played all 16 games in his fifth NFL season and finished second on the Eagles with 62 catches for 811 yards and five touchdowns.

Celek joined Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson as the first trio of Eagles to each top the 800-yard plateau in receiving yardage in a season.
