Dolphins WR Marshall ruled out vs. Raiders with bad hamstring

The Miami Dolphins downgraded wide receiver Brandon Marshall from doubtful to out for Sunday's road game against the Oakland Raiders.

Marshall didn't practice all week because of a hamstring injury that he sustained during last week's 16-0 loss to the Chicago Bears, and the Dolphins announced Saturday that he wouldn't play against the Raiders. Marshall leads the Dolphins in receptions (58) and yards (693) this season, his first with the team after being acquired in an offseason trade with the Denver Broncos.

The Dolphins have another issue entering Sunday's game: Who will start at quarterback? Dolphins coach Tony Sparano hasn't publicly announced a starter.

Regular starter Chad Henne is recovering from a knee injury that he sustained two weeks ago against the Tennessee Titans. He was limited in practice Friday and is listed as questionable.

Tyler Thigpen, the third-string quarterback two weeks ago, started in the loss to the Bears and threw two interceptions.
