Distractions wear down Bears, Browns

The Chicago Bears already were a bit antsy, ready to get through this week and begin their NFC title defense. And that was before Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs left the scene after crashing his new Lamborghini along a highway early Monday morning.

Suddenly, a shortened week felt like a long one.

The Bears found themselves answering questions about a teammate in trouble with the law, instead of Thursday's preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns.
