Dez: There's no extra motivation from non-catch game

The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys will meet in the postseason for the first time since the 2014 playoffs. It was a simpler time then.

Back then no one had ever heard of #DezCaughtIt. There weren't incessant, circular arguments on the validity of Dez Bryant's game-changing catch that was ultimately ruled incomplete.

What a world it used to be.

Ahead of Sunday's rematch, the Cowboys receiver said he gets no extra juice from trying to earn revenge for that play.

"I don't even care," Bryant said, via the Dallas Morning News. "That was 2014. There's no extra motivation. There's no nothing. If there's any motivation, it's just to prepare better than the last time. I feel like I've done that."

Bryant said he didn't want to talk about the non-catch, then proceeded to talk about it for 20-30 minutes.

The press isn't the only one who brings it up to Bryant on a semi-daily basis.

"Still to this day [fans] be like, 'It's January blah, blah, blah, 2017, 3:29 p.m. and I just want the world to know that Dez Bryant still caught it,'" Bryant said. "It's funny."

Added Bryant: "Regardless, that's going to last forever. They're never going to forget it."

Trying to argue about the catch and subsequent mindboggling letter-of-the-asinine-law ruling is a fruitless endeavor.

If Bryant gets a similar opportunity to reach the ball to the goal line while going to the ground Sunday, his competitive spirit won't let him pull back.

"See, when I try to think about that, that will throw you off," Bryant said. "Don't ever change who you are, just make yourself better. When I'm out there, I don't think like I got to do all that crazy stuff to maintain the football. I just be who I am. I just prepare that way so I don't have to think. I just react."

But Dez, Dez, Dez, Dez, was it a catch?

"Yeah, of course," he said.
