Denver mayor honors bet, wears Brady jersey during NBA game

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has made good on his bet on the Broncos-Patriots playoff game with Boston Mayor Tom Menino, wearing a Patriots jersey during a Denver Nuggets game.

The Denver Post reported Hancock wore the jersey during halftime of the Nuggets' home game against the Utah Jazz Sunday night.

Hancock also is sending Menino 40 pounds of Colorado beef, including some "Tebow tenderloins."

As for Tim Tebow, Broncos executive John Elway told reporters Monday that Denver's quarterback will enter next season's training camp as the Broncos' starter, in an attempt to curb an offseason circus before it starts.

"Well, I think Tim's earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year," Elway said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
