Cowboys' Hodge undergoes season-ending knee surgery

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Stephen Hodge underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee Thursday and will be placed on injured reserve, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Hodge was eligible to come off the team's physically unable to perform list Tuesday, but the surgery will end his season.

The 6-foot, 238-pound Hodge missed all of last season following a similar surgery on his left knee.

The Cowboys drafted Hodge in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Texas Christian University.
