Cowboys' Dez Bryant joins Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports

Dez Bryantnearly got a new contract from the Dallas Cowboys before the 2014 season started, but the two sides could not reach an agreement before Bryant's self-imposed deadline. Now Bryant has decided to change his representation.

Roc Nation Sports, the agency led by Jay Z, announced Sunday that they have added Bryant to their stable of athletes.

Bryant said last offseason he believes he should be paid like a top receiver, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has never been afraid of taking care of his own. But this offseason will be tricky for Jones, with Bryant and DeMarco Murray headed for free agency. The Cowboys could always use the franchise tag on one of them, with Bryant seemingly having earned his long-term money more than Murray, who has been inconsistent before this year.

This is a contract situation that will get a ton of attention in the offseason, and the presence of Roc Nation will only amplify that.
