Colts WR Gonzalez, RB Brown return to practice

Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez and running back Donald Brown both returned to practice Monday, according to *The Indianapolis Star*.

Gonzalez has been sidelined with a high ankle sprain since the Colts' season-opening loss to the Houston Texans.

Brown has a sore hamstring and sat out the last two weeks.

Having Brown back would help the Colts' ground game, as it is unknown whether or not running back Joseph Addai will be back for this weekend's game against the Washington Redskins. Addai injured his neck/shoulder last Sunday during the Colts' victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Colts coach Jim Caldwell didn't provide an update on Addai's status Monday.

Addai's replacement, Mike Hart, scored the Colts' only touchdown Sunday.

"Donald will probably be back this week, which will be great, and hopefully Joe's ready," Hart said. "I'm always ready. Hopefully I'll be called upon soon."

Other injured Colts not at practice Monday included safety Antoine Bethea (hamstring), middle linebacker Gary Brackett (back), wide receiver Austin Collie (foot), defensive end Robert Mathis (undisclosed) and safety Bob Sanders (biceps).
