Colts' Sanders recovering from shoulder surgery

Bob Sanders told NFL.com on Thursday in Phoenix that he is recovering from shoulder surgery.

"I had to have surgery," Sanders said during a stop at the Super Bowl Media Center. He made the rounds Thursday with his right arm in a sling. "Went and got a scope, had things cleaned out. No need to worry, I'll be back out there next season ready to go."

Sanders said he would spend 3-4 weeks in a sling as a precaution "just to protect it." Sanders noted he's had other shoulder problems and that the rehab would be "fast." Sanders said if the Colts were in the Super Bowl he would have played.
