Colts LB Conner has surgery on fractured foot, out vs. Jaguars

INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts officials say linebacker Kavell Conner had surgery to repair a fractured left foot and will miss Sunday's game at Jacksonville.

The rookie, a seventh-round draft pick out of Clemson, made his first career start last weekend when Clint Session sat out with a hamstring injury.

With Session out and Conner injured late in the first quarter, backup Cody Glenn filled in at weak-side linebacker, a position he doesn't normally play.

The team also released backup quarterback Tom Brandstater from the practice squad Tuesday.

The Colts say wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez will miss his third consecutive game with a sprained right ankle, and 2007 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Bob Sanders will be out again after undergoing surgery to repair a torn biceps muscle two weeks ago.
