Collier follows Pioli to Kansas City as assistant general manager

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Longtime NFL executive Joel Collier has been hired by the Kansas City Chiefs as assistant general manager.

The Chiefs also hired manager of football operations Chris Caminiti and area scouts Dom Green and Ryan Kessenich on Monday.

Collier, who enters his 19th NFL season, most recently spent three years as an assistant coach with the New England Patriots, for whom current Chiefs GM Scott Pioli worked. Collier also was on the same staff as Pioli at Syracuse in 1988 and '89.

Collier spent 11 seasons coaching with the Miami Dolphins (1994-04) and had his first stint with the Patriots from 1991 to 1993.
