Chiefs rookie LT Josh Simmons suffers dislocated, fractured wrist in Thanksgiving loss to Cowboys

The Chiefs will have to move forward without one of their top rookies for the foreseeable future.

Kansas City left tackle Josh Simmons is out indefinitely after suffering a dislocated and fractured wrist in Thursday's Thanksgiving loss to the Dallas Cowboys, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources.

Simmons was seen leaving AT&T Stadium in a cast. The rookie LT will undergo an MRI on Friday to seek opinions on treatment options, Rapoport added.

Simmons, 22, missed four games earlier this season due to a personal matter. The 2025 first-round draft pick has started in the Chiefs' eight other games.

The Chiefs got banged up in Thursday's game against Dallas. Right tackle Jawaan Taylor suffered an elbow injury and safety Bryan Cook exited with an ankle injury. Kansas City will lean on offensive linemen Jaylon Moore and Wanya Morris with Simmons and Taylor possibly missing multiple games down the stretch.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs (6-6) will try to right the ship when they host the Houston Texans (6-5) in Week 14 on Sunday Night Football.
