Chiefs release Barth; rookie Succop is the only kicker remaining

The Kansas City Chiefs waived Connor Barth on Wednesday, leaving rookie Ryan Succop as the only kicker on their roster.

Barth played in 10 games last season -- his first in the NFL -- and converted 10 of 12 field-goal attempts, with a long of 45 yards. He also made all 24 of his extra-point tries.

Succop, who played at South Carolina, was the final pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, 256th overall. He can kick field goals and punt.
