Chargers might turn to rookie WRs Ajirotutu, Banks again

The San Diego Chargers' decimated receiving corps might lean even more heavily on rookies Seyi Ajirotutu and Gary Banks this Sunday at Houston, coach Norv Turner said, via the *San Diego Union-Tribune*.

Receivers Malcolm Floyd, Legedu Naanee and Buster Davis are question marks. Naanee has missed three games, Floyd two, and Davis is battling groin and rib injuries.

"I'm not encouraged," Turner said Monday. "Malcom might have a chance, but I'm not (optimistic). Legedu, I think, will have a tough time getting back. Buster, we'll see on Wednesday."

Ajirotutu, signed off the practice squad before the Week 7 loss to the New England Patriots, had three receptions for 48 yards in Sunday's victory over the Tennessee Titans. Banks, who was profiled in NFL.com's On the Fringe series during training camp, caught one pass for two yards in his NFL debut.
