TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals signed free-agent safety Keith Lewis to a two-year contract and re-signed punter Ben Graham to a two-year deal and quarterback Brian St. Pierre to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.
In accordance with team policy, terms of the contracts weren't disclosed.
The Cardinals also named Ryan Slowik defensive quality-control coach and Chad Grimm offensive-quality control coach.
Lewis appeared in all 16 games for the San Francisco 49ers last season and made 19 tackles. The sixth-year safety originally entered the NFL with the 49ers as their sixth-round pick (198th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Oregon. His best season came in 2006, as he collected career highs with 76 tackles and two interceptions.
After stints with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, Graham signed with the Cardinals in December and punted in the final four regular-season games and all four playoff contests. By playing in Super Bowl XLIII, Graham became the first Australian to ever appear in the championship game. In his eight games with Arizona, Graham punted 40 times for 1,618 yards (40.4-yard average), with 19 of those kicks landing inside the opponent's 20-yard line and allowing only one touchback.
Graham originally entered the NFL with the Jets as a 31-year-old rookie in 2005 after playing 11 years in Australia with the Geelong Football Club (G.F.C.), where he played in 219 games (1993-2004).
St. Pierre was the Cardinals' third quarterback for all 16 regular season games and the playoffs last season. He joined the team last year from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Originally entering the league with the Steelers as a fifth-round selection (163rd overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft out of Boston College, St. Pierre spent his first two seasons with Pittsburgh and appeared in only one game before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2005. St. Pierre was the Ravens' inactive third quarterback for four games before rejoining the Steelers in 2006.
Slowik joins the Cardinals after working the past four seasons with the Denver Broncos. Slowik began with the Broncos in 2005 as a defensive assistant. He moved to special-teams assistant in 2007 and was assistant defensive backs coach last season. His father, Bob, was the Broncos' defensive coordinator the past two seasons and is a 17-year NFL assistant.
Grimm comes to Arizona after a four-year (2003-06) playing career at Virginia Tech as a linebacker and special-teams performer. He is the son of Cardinals assistant head coach Russ Grimm.
