Buccaneers sign former 49ers DE Douglas

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free-agent defensive end Marques Douglas to a four-year contract, NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting.

Douglas had also visited Tennessee and drawn interest from Denver.

Eight-year NFL veteran Douglas started all 16 games for the 49ers the previous two seasons, recording three sacks in each season. Douglas' best sack effort came in 2004 with the Baltimore Ravens when the defensive end had 5 ½ sacks. Over the course of his career, Douglas has 19 sacks.
