Browns RB Hillis misses practice because of sore ribs

BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis didn't practice Wednesday because of sore ribs.

Hillis, who missed one day of practice last week to rest an injured left knee, was drilled in the ribs on his second carry last Sunday by Baltimore safety Ed Reed. Hillis finished with 35 yards on 12 carries. He said after the 20-10 loss to the Ravens that he was limited after Reed's hit.

Browns coach Eric Mangini believes Hillis will be able to play in Sunday's season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hillis has rushed for 1,164 yards and 11 touchdowns this season for the Browns (5-10), who have dropped three in a row entering the game against the Steelers (11-4).
