Browns LB Benard, DE Schaefering injured during practice

Cleveland Browns linebacker Marcus Benard was injured during Tuesday morning's practice, leaving the field under his own power and then carted to the building, according to Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The second-year player out of Jackson State came on strong as a rookie late in the year, posting 3.5 sacks -- his season total -- during the Browns' four-game winning streak to end the season.

Second-year defensive lineman Brian Schaefering was also injured during practice.

The specifics of both injuries are undetermined.
