Brown brought back to Broncos' backfield; Ball released

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos have juggled their running back corps again, waiving Lance Ball and re-signing Andre Brown.

The moves were announced Tuesday.

Brown spent the first week of the season on the Broncos' roster before he was waived and signed to the team's practice squad. He had been awarded to the Broncos off waivers from the New York Giants, but he didn't play in the opener while dealing with a turf toe injury.

Ball capitalized on increased carries during the preseason to earn a roster spot as Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter and LenDale White were hurt during training camp. The Broncos also traded for Laurence Maroney last week.
