Brother: Eric Berry 'doing really good' in cancer fight

The updates on Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry and his battle with Hodgkin lymphoma continue to provide an upbeat message.

The latest note comes from Berry's brother, Evan, a sophomore defensive back for the Tennessee Volunteers.

"He's doing really good," Evan Berry told reporters Tuesday, via the Kansas City Star. "I think he has three more treatments left. To be honest, I don't really see it affecting him. He's a very strong person, and he's continued to keep strong."

The younger Berry said that he was originally scared for his brother after the diagnosis last season, but Eric was confident of a recovery, so Evan had faith.

"It was scary," Berry said. "But he wasn't worried, so I wasn't worried."

At this stage we still aren't even considering if or when Eric might be able to resume his pro career. It's just nice to hear good news.
