The Eagles have successfully kept outside linebacker Brandon Graham off the open market.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Graham has signed a four-year deal worth $26 million, according to a source. The contract includes $14 million in guaranteed money. The Eagles later announced they had struck a deal with Graham.
Graham has quietly been Philadelphia's most productive defensive player on a snap-by-snap basis during Chip Kelly's tenure. Over the past three seasons, he is ProFootballFocus.com's highest-rated edge defender per 100 snaps. Colleague Chris Wesseling sung Graham's praises last month, deeming him a top-10 option in free agency.
That said, the Eagles just guaranteed $14 million to a player who played less than 50 percent of his team's defensive snaps last season. It will be interesting to see if Graham takes on a more prominent role now that he's one of the team's highest-paid players.
