Bills sale to Terry, Kim Pegula unanimously approved

The Fall League Meeting is underway in New York.

The biggest headline of the morning was the expected confirmation of new ownership for the Buffalo Bills. The NFL announced that Terry and Kim Pegula were unanimously approved by the league's cast of owners on Wednesday morning at the Conrad Hotel.

The husband-and-wife team that owns the NHL's Buffalo Sabres had its NFL-record $1.4 billion purchase agreement to buy the Billsapproved unanimously by the league's finance committee last month.

Chalk it up as a major win for Bills fans. With no designs on moving the team, the Pegulas were cheered during Buffalo's home-opening 29-10 win over the Miami Dolphins in September.

The Pegulas become just the second ownership group in franchise history following the passing of Ralph Wilson Jr. in March. Wilson was the founder and owner of the Bills, and the last living founder of the American Football League.
