Bills rookie Easley could miss season with apparent knee injury

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Marcus Easley is out indefinitely and could miss the entire season because of an apparent knee injury.

Bills coach Chan Gailey provided few details or specifics of what part of the body Easley hurt, except to say the team will make a final determination on the player's status within the next day. Gailey said Easley will be out for a long time, and the coach wouldn't rule out the injury being season-ending.

Easley, a fourth-round draft pick out of Connecticut, hasn't practiced since awkwardly falling on his knee during a training-camp session Aug. 2. Easley watched practice from the sideline Tuesday, one day after meeting with doctors to receive a second opinion.

Easley has been competing for a backup spot with the Bills.
