Bengals stay atop AFC North with win over Jaguars

The Cincinnati Bengals withstood a late Jacksonville Jaguars rally in a 33-23 win on Sunday. Our takeaways:

  1. A.J. Green made a healthy return from a three-week absence and finished with three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown on six targets. He had a second TD wiped away when he lined up offsides before the snap. Green and Mohamed Sanu are a great 1-2 combo for Andy Dalton to work with.
  1. One of the biggest surprise subplots of the season? Denard Robinson's rise from "OW" to legit RB in the NFL. Robinson finished with 17 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown. Add in his two receptions for 10 yards and Robinson has gone over 100 total yards in three straight weeks.
  1. Jeremy Hillmade the most of his first NFL start, rushing for 154 yards and two touchdowns. His second score was the biggest play of the game, a 60-yard run that answered a momentum-swinging Jaguars touchdown.
  1. Blake Bortles offered up a mixed bag in his sixth NFL start. The rookie passer came on strong in the second half, throwing two touchdown passes and posting a passer rating of 96.4 -- the highest of his young career. Bortles continues to make questionable decisions, however. He benefited from drops on two sure interceptions, and took the Jaguars out of the game with an ugly end zone pick in the fourth quarter.
  1. Allen Hurns continues to look like a nice find for the Jaguars. The undrafted rookie had seven catches for 112 yards and twotouchdowns.
