Bengals CB Jones' non-jury trial delayed until January

CINCINNATI -- Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones' trial has been delayed until next year.

The non-jury trial, previously scheduled for Thursday in Hamilton County Municipal Court in Cincinnati, will be held Jan. 18, after the regular season ends.

Jones is charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest for an incident at a downtown bar in July.

Jones' lawyer had said the trial likely would be delayed.

Prosecutors in Las Vegas decided this week that Jones won't do jail time there as a result of his Cincinnati arrest. He was on probation in connection with his 2007 no-contest plea to a strip club melee that left three people wounded. He must do an additional 75 hours of community service instead.
