Bears' tackle Harris held out of 3rd preseason game

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears held Pro Bowl defensive tackle Tommie Harris out of Saturday's preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Harris, who suffered a season-ending hamstring injury last December, has been practicing but has not played during the preseason.

Chicago also held out wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad and left guard Ruben Brown, along with defensive lineman Israel Idonije, offensive tackle John St. Clair and wide receiver Brandon Rideau.

The 49ers were without running back Frank Gore, defensive end Bryant Young, defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin and backup safety Dashon Goldson.
