Bears sign free-agent CB Jennings, part ways with FB McKie

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they have signed free-agent cornerback Tim Jennings to a two-year contract and released fullback Jason McKie.

Financial terms of the deal with Jennings weren't disclosed.

A second-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2006, Jennings recorded 161 tackles and four interceptions in four years with the team. He wasn't offered a tender after the season, making him free to sign elsewhere.

McKie spent seven seasons with the Bears, catching 62 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for 84 yards and three TDs on 29 carries. He also had 15 special-teams tackles for Chicago.
