Bears DE Anderson signs tender, seeks return to 2006 form

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Restricted free agent defensive end Mark Anderson has signed his one-year tender offer from the Chicago Bears.

Anderson has 105 tackles and 21.5 sacks in four years, but he has struggled since an eye-opening rookie season in 2006. He had 12 sacks that year, the most by a Bears rookie and the most by a Chicago player since Richard Dent's 13.5 in 1993, while helping the team reach the Super Bowl.
