Baltimore Ravens hire Marty Mornhinweg as QB coach

Marty Mornhinweg won't be out of football in 2015.

The Baltimore Ravens announced they have hired the former New York Jets offensive coordinator to be the quarterbacks coach under new offensive coordinatorMarc Trestman.

Mornhinweg will replace Rick Dennison, who is heading to Denver with Gary Kubiak.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh has experience working with Mornhinweg during a stint on the Philadelphia Eagles staff.

"Marty is going to be a great addition for us," Harbaugh said Wednesday during a conference call.

The new QB coach will be tasked with helping Trestman guide Joe Flacco, who is coming off the best season of his NFL career under Kubiak and Dennison.

Mornhinweg has extensive experience in the West Coast offense and has coached multiple quarterbacks to Pro Bowls. However, he is coming off a disastrous stint as the Jets' top offensive man.
