Backup DE Wyche signs new contract with Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Reserve defensive end James Wyche signed a new contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Wyche, a seventh-round draft pick in 2006, has yet to play in an NFL game. He was on the Jaguars' practice squad for most of his rookie year and spent the last two years on injured reserve.

Wyche suffered a knee injury in the 2008 preseason and injured his groin in the final preseason game in 2007.
