Antonio Smith displays love of art by using cleats as his canvas

NFL Media's James Palmer reports from Broncos practice Friday:

In the locker room today I sat with Broncos defensive end Antonio Smith as he was coloring in portions of his new cleats with magic markers in an attempt to be allowed to wear then during the game on Sunday.

The cleats were orange and blue with sections that had patterns that Smith said he didn't believe would be allowed. The cleats were the Calvin Johnson signature cleats. The receiver's third cleat titled "CJ Elite TD" and has his number and signature on the tongue. Smith, who used to love to draw, said he got a scholarship to an art school, but obviously football took over during high school.

We'll find out if his old skills can allow him to wear the cleats against the Packers on Sunday.
