The Cardinals interviewed defensive coordinator Ray Horton about their head-coaching job on Tuesday, and are expected to send executives to Denver to meet with Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

The Cardinals fired coach Ken Whisenhunt on Monday after six years with the team and one Super Bowl appearance. General manager Rod Graves also was dismissed.

Reid was let go by the Eagles on Monday after a 14-year run in Philadelphia highlighted by five trips to the NFC Championship Game and one appearance in the Super Bowl.

He is expected to use his previous relationship with Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb, who played for Reid in Philadelphia, as a selling point with Cardinals brass.
