America's Team: A fantasy championship awaits

It's Championship Week and you're still standing.

In a fortuitous turn of events, Adam Rank put Alex Smith on the waiver wire. You snatched him up and five touchdown passes later you had a win over Matt "Money" Smith and were on your way to the final showdown in the NFL Fantasy LIVE Experts League.

In that case, it's fitting that you will face off with Rank's El Presidente squad to determine who will be the league's top dog.

Which begs the question: Do you throw it in his face and attempt to beat him with the quarterback he callously discarded last week? Or do you go with the player who took you so far this season and put Aaron Rodgers back in the lineup?

Neither player has a significantly better matchup than the other. Both the Chiefs and Packers are facing defenses that have been middle-of-the-road when it comes to stopping fantasy quarterbacks.

There is Rodgers' fitness, however: He hasn't played since breaking his collabone back in Week 9. Can you trust him to look like the Aaron Rodgers of old? Or will Mike McCarthy put the game in the hands of Eddie Lacy this week? Plus, there's no way Smith duplicates his Week 15 performance. But can he at least post a respectable number in Week 16?

One last issue: What to do with your running back spot. It seems this has been a problem all season long. Yet you've been able to overcome it time and time again. You'll have to figure it out for one last week if you want to claim the title.

Do you head to the waiver wire and grab Jordan Todman, who has a great matchup with the Titans this week? Or maybe you look at your bench and take a chance on Stevan Ridley, who has been a riddle wrapped inside an enigma over the past few weeks. Or you could just stick with Joique Bell. He's been a nice option -- even when Reggie Bush has been on the field for the Lions this season.

So there it is, folks. The time for talking is over. The time for winning is now. Hit the America's Team page, make your voice heard and put together the best possible lineup you can. Everything is on the line here. It's all or nothing. A chance for glory or a summer of regret.

Good luck and happy Week 16. Go America!
