Ailing Bears safety Harris vows to play in game vs. Packers

Safety Chris Harris, who sustained a left hip injury during the Bears' playoff victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, said he will play in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, the *Chicago Tribune* reported Monday.

Harris, whose five interceptions tied for the team lead with Charles Tillman, started all 16 regular-season games for the NFC North champions.

"My leg would have to be cut off for me to miss this game next week," Harris said after Sunday's game.

Harris, who had 70 tackles this season, was injured while trying to tackle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch during the first quarter.

The Bears return to practice Wednesday, and Harris' status will be updated that day on the first injury report of the week.
