Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is done for the preseason.
Jones-Drew, who missed three days of practice this week, didn't make the trip to Tampa for Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers. His agent, Adisa Bakari, denied a Friday report that Jones-Drew had arthroscopic knee surgery.

"What arthroscopic surgery is there that a player can return in one week?" Bakari told *The Florida Times-Union*. "There isn't one."
Bakari said playing his client now "can only hurt the team." He believes the Jaguars know they need Jones-Drew during the regular season, so they "decided they're not going to play him now."
"It doesn't make sense for him to go out for three quarters and get smashed in a preseason game ...," Bakari told The Times-Union. "The organization has made a very smart decision to rest him."
Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said most starters won't play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons. He wants to prevent injury, especially with the short turnaround between games.
