20 things to know about the Week 3 injury report

Eddie Lacy is on the proper path to playing Monday night.

The Green Bay Packers running back was limited in practice Friday after missing Thursday's practice with an ankle injury.

"We'll see how things go," McCarthy said, via ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

The extra day before the home bout with the Kansas City Chiefs is an added benefit for Lacy, who left last week's tilt in the first half.

We won't know his official designation until after Saturday's practice, but it's a positive sign that the running back is able to do any work on Friday.

McCarthy also noted that Davante Adams (ankle) will do individual drills on Friday, after playing through his injury last Sunday. All indications are that the wideout will be on the field Monday night.

Here are some other injury updates from Friday:

  1. Saints coach Sean Payton announced quarterback Drew Brees (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
  1. Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly (concussion) won't play against the Saints, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to a source informed of the situation. The team listed him as doubtful after he sat out of Friday's practice.
