Excellence on the Field

Since being selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Love has exemplified patience and perseverance on the field. After spending three seasons learning behind Aaron Rodgers, Love stepped into one of the most storied roles in professional sports: starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, a position he has now held for three seasons. As he shapes the next chapter of Packers history, Love continues to carve his own path. In his first two seasons as a starter, he led the franchise to consecutive playoff appearances, including a memorable victory in the 2023 Wild Card round over Dallas, the first time in NFL history a No. 7 seed advanced to the Divisional Round. This season, Love has the Packers competing for the NFC North title in one of the league's most competitive divisions and poised to make a deep postseason run. Love earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a standout Week 8 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing for 360 yards and three touchdowns in a statement win over his former mentor, Rodgers.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts This Year

Though Love's commitment to community impact has deepened since becoming the Packers' starting quarterback, his dedication to making a difference began long before launching his foundation. Love actively participated in numerous Packers community outreach initiatives as a backup in his first three seasons in Green Bay. Throughout his NFL career, he has assisted the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay with fundraising initiatives by signing autographs for fans in exchange for monetary donations, as well as serving as a bell ringing bingo caller. Love has also helped raise money for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation by attending the annual Packers vs. Cancer high school football game and participated in the Brown County Golf fundraiser to raise funds for programs that improve the lives of local youth. Love has worked to strengthen relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve, supporting Northeast Wisconsin departments in distributing care packages to local families. Love has also been a powerful advocate for mental health, particularly within the law enforcement community, openly sharing his family's story and encouraging dialogue around suicide prevention as a keynote speaker at law enforcement conferences. He has also partnered with organizations in both Kern County and Green Bay dedicated to suicide prevention and supporting those affected by loss. Love has sponsored Save a Life Today Kern County's Stomp Out Suicide Walk and the Brown County Coalition for Suicide Prevention's Be the Light Walk, encouraging community participation and helping to raise awareness for the vital work these organizations carry out. A strong supporter of Rawhide Youth Services, the Wisconsin nonprofit serving at-risk youth founded with the support of Bart Starr, Love has spoken at fundraising events and amplified the organization's mission during Mental Health Awareness Month. Through his compassion and commitment to others, for years, Love has exemplified what it means to use one's platform for good.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts in Years Past

Within the last year, Love has enhanced his community impact across Wisconsin and in his hometown of Bakersfield, Calif. In May 2024, he launched his foundation, Hands of 10ve, to empower children from all backgrounds to participate in sports, raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention and foster stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Understanding the financial burden involvement in youth sports can create for families, Love launched 10ve for Cleats, a Hands of 10ve initiative that donates cleats to an entire youth team in Wisconsin for every touchdown he scores during the season. In its first year, the program donated more than 1,300 pairs of cleats to 26 teams, and it is now expanding to Bakersfield. His foundation also hosts annual youth football camps in Bakersfield and Milwaukee, giving hundreds of kids each summer the opportunity to develop their skills, connect with peers and mentors, and create lasting memories. Last winter, Love partnered with the local Green Bay nonprofit Better Days Mentoring LLC to distribute 1,100 coats to adults and children ahead of the chilly Wisconsin winter. Connected by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, Love provided a Thanksgiving meal to a family in need, and his generosity carried into the Christmas season. He hosted a holiday shopping event at Dick's Sporting Goods in Green Bay, providing local children in need with the opportunity to purchase $300 worth of gifts for themselves and their families. Additionally, Love has taken on hosting duties of the annual Green Bay Charity Softball Game, a cherished 25-year tradition in Northeast Wisconsin that brings together Packers players and fans while raising funds for meaningful local causes. Hands of 10ve was this year's recipient. In January, as the Eaton Fire devastated Southern California, Love provided $2,000 grants to 21 Los Angeles Police Department personnel who lost their homes in the blaze. In April, he visited the Kern County Youth Detention Center in Bakersfield to share a message about resilience and the importance of making positive choices, ultimately surprising each at-risk youth attendee with a $20,000 scholarship toward trade school or college. Under Love's vision and leadership, Hands of 10ve will continue to expand its reach, empowering countless young people for years to come.

Positive Character & a Lifestyle of Giving Back

At 14, Love experienced a life-changing tragedy when his father, police officer Orbin Love, died by suicide. Sports became his refuge, giving him purpose and a sense of belonging. His journey has inspired him to turn his platform into a force for good, with his life experiences and challenges shaping the causes closest to his heart: youth athletic participation, mental health and suicide awareness and strong relationships between communities and law enforcement agencies. Love models a lifestyle of giving back, never losing sight of the people and values that shaped his journey. Through Hands of 10ve and other initiatives, he pays it forward – honoring his father's legacy and those who lifted him when he needed it most. "Without that brotherhood of football, I never would have made it," he wrote in a piece earlier this year published in The Players' Tribune. "That camaraderie of football took me out of a really dark and lonely place. Through everything, the one thing that I could always count on was my friends and family. There's just no way I'd be here without them..." Across the Packers organization, Love is consistently praised for his strong work ethic, steady poise and resilience in the face of hardships. His quiet confidence commands respect in the huddle, locker room and beyond. A consistent, grounded leader, he demonstrates humility in victory and accountability in adversity. Always quick to celebrate the team's success over his own, Love has earned the deep respect of his teammates, reflected in their decision to name him a season-long captain. "He's been raised the right way, I think he's about the right stuff, and his teammates certainly respect him," Head Coach Matt LaFleur said of Love after signing his contract extension in 2024. "They respect the man; they respect the work he puts in."
