Excellence on the Field:
A former rugby player born and raised in Australia, Mailata had never played a snap of football prior to being drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. A disciple under Eagles run game coordinator and offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, Mailata dedicated himself completely to learning the mechanics of the game, which led him to a prominent starting role in two Super Bowl appearances (winning Super Bowl LIX). He has emerged as one of the league's premier offensive linemen, owning the second-highest Pro Football Focus (PFF) offensive grade (92.5) among all NFL tackles since 2022. In 2024, Jordan earned second-team All-Pro honors after producing the best PFF offensive grade (96.9) in the NFL, ranking first in run-blocking grade (94.9), and second in pass-blocking grade (91.7). As a key anchor on one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, Mailata helped pave the way in 2024 for Saquon Barkley to become the ninth member of the NFL's 2,000+ yard rushing club and the league's record holder for the most rushing yards in the regular season and playoffs (2,504), while also setting the Eagles up to rush for the most combined yards in NFL history (3,866).
Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts This Year:
Active with the Philadelphia Children's Alliance since 2019, Mailata and his wife, Niki, were honored at the organization's 2025 Alliance Bear Affair for their ongoing support. With his mother-in-law being a cancer survivor, he and Niki support the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), which has included Mailata selecting the organization for his charity of choice during My Cause My Cleats. While Mailata is actively involved in a number of charitable initiatives, it is his involvement with the Eagles Autism Foundation that has been constant since joining the team in 2018. An annual participant in the team's signature charity event, the Eagles Autism Challenge, Mailata has contributed to the over $40 million raised for the autism community since 2018. In addition, he continues to serve as an ambassador for the Foundation at events such as the Barefoot County Music Festival, Jason Kelce's Team 62 Ocean Drive fundraiser, Eagles Radiothon, and more. In fact, Mailata helped raise $8,300 alone for the 2025 Eagles Radiothon by offering up two separate experiences. His "Jeff Stoutland University" vignette on Sunday Night Football that went viral in 2022 inspired the creation of an apparel line that has raised more than $200,000 for the Foundation. A champion of small and local businesses, Mailata helped bring one of his favorite foods to Lincoln Financial Field. As an ambassador for G'Day Gourmet Pies, where a best-selling pie featuring his favorite flavors is named in his honor, he connected the company with another beloved local business, Poi Dog, to give fans a taste of his favorite menu items, expanding visibility for both small businesses.
Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts in Years Past:
Mailata has devoted his time and energy to supporting a wide range of charitable organizations since arriving in Philadelphia in 2018. His community outreach and contributions off the field have positively impacted the lives of those involved with the American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Philadelphia, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Fred's Footsteps, Laurel House, Liberty Youth Athletic Association, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, MANNA, Simon's Heart, Women Against Abuse, and many more. Wherever the Eagles are in the community, Mailata is always front and center, leading with heart, humility, and compassion. Mailata has used his platform and natural talents to make a difference in creative ways. A gifted singer, he and Eagles Legends Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce have recorded three holiday albums, A Philly Special Christmas (2022), A Philly Special Christmas Special (2023), and A Philly Special Christmas Party (2024), which have gone on to raise more than $10 million for local charities. In 2024, the musical trio organized an ambitious project, Operation Snowball, aimed at gifting every student in the Philadelphia public school system with a present thanks to funds raised by the group's third album.
Positive Character & a Lifestyle of Giving Back:
Mailata's journey is a powerful example of perseverance, determination, heart, and belief. His story has inspired millions of people around the world to follow their dreams. In 2024, he joined a contingent of Eagles employees on a two-week-long trip to Australia to help grow the game of football and create local touchpoints with residents. Mailata and the Eagles, who have been granted rights in Australia and New Zealand through the NFL's Global Markets Program, enthusiastically leaned into the new grassroots campaign and even participated in a flag football event in Sydney with 120 children. His unique blend of athleticism, size, footwork, and technique – complemented by a relentless desire to be great – has helped shape the winning culture inside the NovaCare Complex. A team captain, Mailata leads with authenticity, earning deep respect from teammates, coaches, fans, and even opposing players. Mailata is a charismatic and outgoing person whose lifestyle and career are both grounded in gratitude and service, pushing people to not only dream big, but also give back along the way. "Jordan is a really outstanding leader," said Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. "I think what's special about Joradn is he cares. He is somebody who is constantly trying to help other people. I think that is probably what people voted him a captain for. Mailata is more worried that other people are taken care of before he is. That's a sign of a really good leader. I really admire that about him. That's a hard quality to have because there are so many things you've got to worry about for yourself. But he's always focused on, 'How do I help somebody else out? How do I get this guy better? How do I get that guy better?'"
