Excellence on the Field:

In his eighth NFL season, Chubb exemplifies excellence and leadership on the field. He was selected as a captain by his teammates in 2025 and is a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2020, 2022). Chubb also earned AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors following his performance in Week 15 of the 2023 season and was also ranked No. 62 on the NFL Top 100 list in 2024. He entered the league in 2018 as a first-round pick by Denver and made an immediate impact, earning a selection to the 2018 PFWA All-Rookie team. In 2023, the Dolphins finished 10th in total defense, the first top 10 finish since 2010. The defense set a franchise record for sacks in a season with 56.0 that year, led by Chubb, who totaled 11.0 sacks. He also tied the NFL lead for most forced fumbles with six. Chubb joined the Dolphins following a trade with Denver in 2022. He totaled 8.0 sacks for the season, on the way to earning his second career Pro Bowl selection. After missing the 2024 season with an injury, he made a strong return, recording a sack in Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of 2025, becoming the first Dolphins player since 2000 to record a sack in each of the first three games of the year.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts This Year:

In 2025, Miami Dolphins linebacker Chubb has continued to expand the footprint and impact of his foundation's mission to activate human potential by empowering youth through financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs, youth camps and mentorship events. Through his foundation's "Moving the Needle" program, he has implemented financial literacy programming for youth and hosted workshops and events in partnership with Truist. To kick off the school year, he hosted a back-to-school bash at a local Boys & Girls Club to provide backpacks, haircuts by an on-site barber, games and activities, and engage with local law enforcement. As part of the Chubb Foundation initiative to teach essential life skills through the strategic game of chess, he partnered with another Boys & Girls Club in Mableton, Georgia, to help launch the "Name of the Game" Chess initiative. The program, originally founded by Bobby Jackson, taught students to apply the winning strategies of Chess to their day-to-day lives over the course of 10 weeks in the spring. Throughout the offseason, Chubb also spent time uplifting and supporting youth at a local children's hospital in South Florida and participating in the eighth annual "Tackle Reading" literacy event at Norwood Elementary in Miami Gardens. Chubb hosts annual youth camps in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, but has expanded his reach to host camps for a second year in South Florida, as well as his first camp in Raleigh, North Carolina where he played collegiately at North Carolina State. Chubb also partnered with the team's Junior Dolphins program to host camps and further local youth football and physical education initiatives.

Dedication & Commitment to Community Efforts in Years Past:

Soon after entering the league in 2018, Chubb co-founded the "Chubb Foundation" alongside his older brother, Brandon, with the mission to "activate human potential" through the pillars of youth mentorship, physical education, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. He established the "Moving the Needle" initiative, a four-part series designed to empower youth with the knowledge and skills to build a strong financial foundation. His passion to help teens create a lasting impact for themselves and their families inspired the curriculum that covered entrepreneurship, financial wellness, investing and the principles of generational wealth. As part of his foundation's entrepreneurship pillar, Chubb and his team established the "Moving the Needle: Effecting Change Through Entrepreneurship" course. The 10-week program partnered with after-school, summer and weekend programs and challenged students to develop business ideas geared toward positive community impact. The program instilled business planning and the basics of effective marketing strategies. Intended to spark entrepreneurial ambition and help the participants develop public speaking skills, the program culminated in a "Pitch Night" event, where the students presented their business concepts to a panel of judges in the presence and support of their friends and families. Believing that youth can develop resilience, discipline, passion and teamwork through physical education, Chubb also hosts youth camps in his hometown near Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the communities in which he's played both professionally in South Florida and Denver, as well as collegiately in North Carolina. In alignment with the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to empower youth through academic success, leadership development and healthy lifestyles, Chubb works alongside local chapters to implement his foundation's programming or make appearances at mentorship events or as a speaker. Throughout his entire career, Chubb has also spearheaded and partnered with giveback initiatives to provide Thanksgiving turkeys, meals, and holiday gifts. He unites his efforts to support team initiatives from Junior Dolphins youth programs, visiting local schools and children's hospitals and disaster relief.

Positive Character & a Lifestyle of Giving Back:

Growing up, his mother, Carmen Chubb, often read "I Love You to the Moon and Back" to him and his brother. She would encourage him to shoot for the moon and land among the stars, sparking the inspiration for his nickname, the "Astronaut." As he missed the 2024 season recovering from an injury, Chubb felt the challenge of how he could effectively support and help lead as a teammate on the sideline. As he worked to return to play, his resilience increased, as well as his will to effectively empower and champion others. Chubb is passionate about developing youth potential, exhibiting intentionality in his foundation's programming and genuine care for the communities he serves. He is consistent in his approach as both a servant leader and a teammate, always seeking to bring up those around him. In all roles of his life, he is constantly seeking ways to uplift and empower others with the same support, dedication, and resources. He has been selected as a team captain twice in his NFL career (2022, 2025) and twice at North Carolina State (2016-17). In 2023, his second season with the Miami Dolphins, he was selected as the recipient of the team's Nat Moore Community Service Award.
