John Macdonald is the Co-founder and Vice President of the UK and Ireland Minnesota Vikings Fan Club. He helped establish the club in 2015 and has worked closely with the Minnesota Vikings organization over the years. Under his leadership, the club has delivered outstanding game-day experiences for fans traveling to Dublin and London games, while also driving significant growth in membership and engagement. The club hosts watch parties across the UK and runs numerous competitions throughout the year to bring the fan community together.
A lifelong and dedicated Minnesota Vikings supporter, John has attended every international Vikings game played to date, missing just one. His commitment to following the team across borders reflects both his passion for the franchise and his dedication to supporting the growth of the game globally.
During the past season, when the Vikings became the first team to play two international games in different countries in back-to-back weeks (Dublin and London), John took on a unique charitable challenge. As he was attending both games, he cycled between the two stadiums to raise money for Mind, a UK mental health charity. Cycling more than 600km from the Monday after the Dublin game through to Saturday, he successfully raised over £4,000 for the cause.
