New England Patriots

Scott FAN OF YEAR 1

Scott Richman

For nearly six decades, Scott Richman has embodied what it means to be a true New England Patriots fan. His journey began back in the mid-1960s, when he attended his very first game at Harvard Stadium — the Boston Patriots versus the Minnesota Vikings. That day, something clicked, and Scott became a Patriots fan for life.

He followed the team through its early years as the Boston Patriots and stood by them through their transition to the New England Patriots. As a young fan, Scott spent summers visiting training camp at Curry College, soaking in the excitement up close. When the team later moved training camp to Bryant University, he was there too, watching the Patriots evolve into one of the most iconic franchises in sports.

In his teenage years, Scott played football himself, serving as team captain in high school before a severe ankle injury cut his playing days short — but his passion for the game only grew stronger. He continued to share that love of football with his family and friends, attending countless games with his cousin, who held season tickets at Foxboro Stadium.

In 2000, Scott achieved a lifelong dream when he secured his own Patriots Club Seat season tickets. Over the past 25 years, those seats have been more than just a place to watch football — they've been a second home. From thrilling regular season matchups to unforgettable playoff runs, he has been there through it all, making lifelong memories with fellow fans and family members. At his primary home, countless memorabilia and cherished photos have turned his living room into a shrine!

As a devoted Club Seat member, Scott has attended seven Super Bowls, witnessing history firsthand — from dramatic victories to unforgettable moments that defined an era. One of his most prized collectibles is a piece of the goal post from Adam Vinatieri's legendary "Snow Bowl" kick, a tangible reminder of one of the greatest plays in NFL history.

These days, Scott is continuing the Patriots tradition with a new generation — bringing one of his grandsons to training camp and sharing the same excitement he felt as a young fan all those years ago. He hopes to inspire that same passion for the game and the team, passing down his love for the Patriots just as the franchise has passed through eras of greatness.

Over the years, Scott has also hosted family gatherings and special events at Gillette Stadium, always finding ways to share his passion for the Patriots community. His dedication, loyalty, and enthusiasm have made him a fixture within the Patriots fan base — a true representative of the heart and soul of New England football.

For his decades of unwavering support, unforgettable experiences, and love for the game, Scott is proudly recognized as the New England Patriots Fan of the Year.
