Kyla Wright & Ninotchka Jackson-Wright
For Ninotchka and Kyla, football is family. This mother and daughter duo have been loyal Lions fans for decades. Ninotchka's love for the Lions was inspired by her late father, Oliver Williams Jr., a devoted fan and longtime season ticket holder since the Silverdome era. After her father's passing in 2017, Ninotchka and her husband proudly took over his season tickets to honor his memory and continue the tradition of attending games home and away. For Ninotchka, supporting the Lions represents more than football—it embodies family, loyalty, and a lasting legacy of pride in Honolulu blue.
Kyla, Ninotchka's daughter, is a full-time, second-year Ph.D. student at Michigan State University in the Information and Media program. Crowned Miss North America 2024, Kyla proudly represents her hometown team, a passion that she inherited from her mother. Kyla combines her love for fashion and football by styling her mom's game day looks, which celebrates her mom's fandom and creativity. The two are inseparable—partners in everything from Lions games and church ministry to community service. Kyla is the founder and executive director of Operation: S.A.S.H. (Sexual Assault Stops Here), a nonprofit dedicated to ending the secrecy surrounding sexual assault and supporting survivors. As a proud skin cancer survivor who has been in remission for five years, Kyla also holds the NFL's Crucial Catch initiative close to her heart.
Ninotchka and Kyla are honored to be the Detroit Lions' 2025 Fans of the Year, proudly carrying on the legacy of their father and grandfather while also celebrating the connection between football, fashion, and community.
