Allison Balay
Allison is a dedicated nurse and lifelong Colts fan whose compassion extends far beyond the hospital. After seven years as an emergency room nurse and four years as a traveling nurse, she now works in the post anesthesia care unit at Ascension St. Vincent and still picks up ER shifts to help when needed.
For more than 15 years, Allison has volunteered her healthcare skills at major local events like the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, 500 Festival Mini Marathon and Colts community initiatives, such as Horseshoe Helpings. Her service extends overseas, traveling internationally for medical service brigades. This year, she will volunteer in the Dominican Republic to assist with health screenings and vaccinations.
Inspired by the Colts and Jim Irsay's commitment to giving back, Allison keeps toys and playing cards in her locker to comfort children in the ER, and she proudly supports the team's Kicking the Stigma mental health mission. Allison shares her Colts passion with everyone around her, using her season tickets to take different people to each game, hosting watch parties and even making her own Colts-themed earrings and headbands to spread team spirit at work. She also started a pregame "Guessing Game" tradition with the Blue Ladies fan club, which brings the community together each week.
