Steve Thompson
Steve has been a Bengals fan since the beginning in 1968 and a season ticket holder since 1979. Since then, he has missed attending just three home games. Born and raised in Hillsboro, Ohio, Steve was a high school teacher for 31 years and then an athletic director for four years. He now lives in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, with his wife of 40 years, Carolyn, who has become as big a Bengals fan as him. They have two children, Meghan and Alex, a son-in-law, Taylor, and two grandchildren, Wells and Violet, both of whom are already wearing the orange and black proudly.
His greatest Bengals memories include the two AFC Championship home games he attended in the 1980's and attending Super Bowl XXIII in Miami and, more recently, the two home playoff wins over the Raiders and Ravens, as his two children were able to see their first playoff wins. He has also proudly represented the Bengals as part of the Inner Circle at the NFL Drafts in Dallas, Las Vegas, and Green Bay.
Over his 47-year streak, going to Bengals games has become about family, love, and tradition for Steve. The ability to share his tickets and passion with others has always been important to him as well, not just at home games but with his travel group for road games.
